Photoshoot Of Work (BIBA)

BIBA inspired dress, incorporated by using bell sleeves and having a large amount of darts to make it fit to a womens body. I had huge amounts of fun producing this garment, oh but it wasnt a dream to sew. "We call this one the Warrior dress"

London Town

My trip to London is fast approaching, i am extremely excited about this. Catching the coach up nice and early so we are able to plan a full day of shopping, wages have been saved. I have planned a full day in brick lane as it contains the most vintage stores oh and the trip to Topshop as i have a 25% card in hand, and they have the most amazing shoes... http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=19551&storeId=12556&categoryId=175029&parent_category_rn=175012&productId=1552227&langId=-1

Deconstruction

The brief we have been given at college i am very much looking forward to. We have been set a task to buy a 2 piece suit from a charity shop and construct it into what ever we feel. I have already brought some tailored mens trousers in Topman for a total of £9 i wanted them for myself really but wasnt lucky enough to have my size.

In these pictures deconstruction has been used, Images from Maison Martin Margiela and Walter Raes who i love very much, a designer who likes to take things out of skips and produce garements.

"I think that what is thrown away in London and around the world is criminal; it's from these consumer society throw-outs, that I make my designs."

Black And White

Here are some photographs i have chosen from Gareth Pughs different collections, starting from 2007 S/S i have chosen these because each piece is different and so extravagant and some are shocking. I have recently made a dress garment and it is reminding me of somthing Gareth Pugh would design (hence why ive based my post of Gareth) it also reminds my of matrics which is somthing im open minded about.
